To qualify for Minister of Religion visa (T2), you must:
- have a valid certificate of sponsorship for your job
- prove your knowledge of English at least CEFR level B2 in speaking and listening
- have personal savings so you can support yourself when you arrive in the UK
- show you can travel and your travel history over the last 5 years
- have tuberculosis test results if you’re from a listed country
UK Minister of Religion visa (T2): Financial Requirement:
- If you are applying for permission to stay and have been living in the UK with permission for 12 months or longer on the date of application, you will meet the financial requirement and do not need to show funds
- If you are applying for entry clearance, or have been living in the UK for less than 12 months, either:
- you must have funds of at least £1,270 for a 28- day period; or
- your A rated sponsor must confirm on the Certificate of Sponsorship that they will, if it is necessary, maintain and accommodate you
How long Minister of Religion visa (T2) is valid for:
If you are applying for entry clearance, permission will be granted for 3 years and 1 month or up to 14 days after the period of employment stated on their Certificate of, whichever is the shorter.
What happens if your Minister of Religion visa (T2) application is refused:
Should you fail to meet the requirements, it is likely that any future applications for temporary migration (such as a visit visa) will be subjected to greater scrutiny.
